Storyline: China expands use of low-altitude equipment in multiple application scenarios [Voice_over] China has been expanding the scope of its low-altitude equipment and case scenarios, increasing the reach of manned and unmanned aircraft in everything from agriculture and logistics to emergency transport and tourism. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the country is using more than 200,000 agricultural drones to water or fertilize more than 27 million hectares of farmland. The country’s logistics sector is also utilizing drones, the MIIT says, with more than 20 cities across the country having established regular low-altitude logistics routes. Data from the Ministry of Transport shows that around 2.7 million parcels were delivered by drones across the country last year. But it’s not just drones. Helicopters are offering sometimes life-saving services in China’s low-altitude economy by ferrying injured people to hospitals. In northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, an aviation company has partnered with a local hospital to supply medical rescue helicopters. [Sound_bite] Huang Zhong, deputy director, department of public health, First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University: "Since late December last year, we have completed 13 medical flight missions and transported 11 critically ill patients." [Voice_over] According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the country's low-altitude economy is expected to reach a market size of about 210 billion U.S. dollars by the end of the year and more than double that at 487 billion U.S. dollars in the next decade.
