Celebrities and guests arrive on the red carpet at Event Cinemas George Street for the Australian Women's Film Festival.
Now in its fifth annual year, the Australian Women’s Film Festival (AWFF) returns to celebrate female talent both in front of and behind the camera, honouring trailblazing women for their roles in redefining the film industry and breaking barriers for future generations.
AWFF was founded by Actress and Director Tahyna Tozzi MacManus and Film Producer Kelly Tomasich with a mission to support, encourage and celebrate female storytellers.
This year the event will be hosted by writer and actor Chika Ikogwe (Heartbreak High, Land of Bad). Joining Chika, the festival’s influential judging panel for 2025 includes Charlee Fraser (Mad Max: Furiosa, Anyone But You), Camilla Mazzaferro (Producer, Porcelain War, Girls Can’t Surf), Lana Greenhalgh (Head of Scripted Originals at Foxtel Group) and Louise Gough (Director of Narrative Content at Screen Australia).
The festival saw VIPs across the Australian Film & Television industry attend the red carpet event, including Sam Frost, Nina Oyama, Sarah Roberts and Susie Youssef.
