Streets and squares across the historic town have been adorned with American and British flags as authorities prepare for the high-profile visit. Trump is slated to begin his three-day official state visit when he arrives in the UK late Tuesday. He will meet with King Charles and Queen Camilla Wednesday before visiting St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle to privately lay a wreath at the tomb of the late Queen Elizabeth ahead of an official state banquet hosted by the monarchs. On Thursday, Trump will meet with Starmer before returning to the US. The visit will mark an unprecedented second state visit by a US president. Ahead of his arrival, the British government announced the UK and US agreed on a deal to build advanced nuclear modular reactors in northeastern England. The agreement between the UK's Centrica and US firm X-energy will bring more advanced nuclear reactors to Britain, according to the deal, announced a day before the beginning of Trump's state visit.
