This is the dramatic moment an angler caught a huge 600lb tuna after spending hours at sea.

Marcus Rostad, 31, managed to haul the massive tuna onto his boat after a long struggle to capture the sea creature in the North Sea off the coast of Maloy, Norway.

Point-of-view footage shows the blue-green fishing line being pulled through the water on September 6.

The tuna struck the rubber lure and immediately dragged around 1,300 ft (400 m) of line from the reel.

Marcus eventually pulled the 8ft (2m) fish aboard after more than two hours on the boat.

Marcus said: 'I turned the boat to follow the fish, and the steering wheel came off during the manoeuvre before it was quickly screwed back on.

'I ate a steak from the fish and sold the rest of the meat to a buyer in the city that supplies restaurants. I kept the tail fin as a souvenir and I am planning to dry and hang it at home as a trophy.'
