ISRAELI CITIZEN INBAR HELLER ALGAZI SPEAKING TO CAMERA (French)PARIS, FRANCE - SEPT. 17: Protesters gathered in Paris on Wednesday, Sept. 17, demanding an end to what they called Israeli attacks on Gaza. Demonstrators assembled at the Place de la Republique, waving Palestinian flags and carrying signs reading “Algeria won, Palestine will win” and “Save Gaza, stop Israel.” They chanted slogans such as “Palestine belongs to Palestinians” and “We are all Gaza’s children.” French lawmakers and Israeli citizens joined the protest, urging governments to impose sanctions on Israel and calling on the European Union to take action. Some Israeli participants carried photos of Palestinian children killed in Gaza. Inbar Heller Algazi, an Israeli citizen living in France, told Anadolu that remaining silent about the situation in Gaza and the West Bank was “impossible.” She described the situation as “beyond horrific” and said she felt it was a human duty to act. The Israeli army has killed almost 65,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases.
