Locals had their first taste of Indian street food, which they were amazed to find being sold in the Philippines.

Footage shows an Indian vendor in a brown kurta preparing panipuri for his customers at Divisoria Market in Manila.

He can be seen filling the hollow shells with mashed potatoes and sauce before handing them out to eager buyers.

Panipuri is a popular South Asian street snack made of crispy shells stuffed with spiced water, tamarind chutney, potatoes, chickpeas, or onions.

Asian and Middle Eastern dishes are becoming increasingly popular in the Philippines, with hundreds of restaurants and food stalls opening to serve delicacies from abroad.
