Phoenix, United States - September 18, 2025 09/18/2025 12:13 am GMT-0700 MESA, Ariz. – According to Mesa Police Detective John Dreyer, officers were called to the 900 block of South Pasadena in Mesa shortly after midnight to reports of a domestic violence situation at a house. Officers arrived on scene and were met by a man exiting the home, aiming a firearm at officers. Two officers discharged their service weapons, striking the man. Mesa firefighters arrived on scene and transported the man to a local area hospital in unknown condition. No officers were injured in the incident. Tempe police will be investigating the officer-involved shooting as part of the East Valley Critical Incident Response Team.
