Video footage shows the moment a Tesla apparently failed to stop at a railroad while in self-driving mode.

Elias Martinez,

caught the moment on his dashcam while driving through Quanticco, Virgina, on June 30, 2025.

Elias says they had to apply the brakes on two different instances because the Tesla Cybertruck did not recognize the railroad.

Recently, Tesla settled two lawsuits relating to crashes in 2019 involving Autopilot advanced driver-assistance software, according to reports.

The undisclosed settlement came weeks after a Florida court ordered Tesla to pay $243 million to victims of another fatal 2019 crash of a Model Y equipped with Autopilot.

Speaking about the incidents, Elias said: "Nothing surprises me anymore. I'm always ready to take over when full self driving doesn't respond appropriately."

"Full self-driving needs to work on train crossings. We've seen other videos, but I had to stop for these. "

"There are still situations like this that aren't solved."
