China’s domestically-developed fighter jets, the J-16 and J-20, thrilled spectators on Friday with high-octane aerobatic performances at the ongoing Changchun Air Show in northeast China’s Jilin Province. Hosted by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force, the aviation open-day activities run from September 19 to 23, with the air show taking center stage. The J-16 jets showcased their agility with a dynamic two-jet maneuver display. Roaring over the grandstand, the pair launched into tight horizontal spirals before climbing vertically and executing synchronized barrel rolls, highlighting both horizontal and vertical combat capabilities. China’s premier stealth fighter, the J-20, delivered a precision formation flight. Four jets flew in tactical pairs, slicing through the narrow airspace between each other in a dramatic cross-pass maneuver that underscored their advanced coordination and control.
