VARIOUS OF COLLAPSED BRIDGE DUE TO RISING FLOW AFTER HEAVY RAINFALL RIZE, TÜRKİYE - SEPT. 20, 2025: Heavy rainfall in the Black Sea province of Rize swelled rivers and triggered multiple landslides on Saturday, Sept. 20, disrupting transportation and damaging infrastructure across several districts.

The downpour, which intensified overnight, left some residents trapped in their homes before they were rescued with the help of construction equipment, officials said.

Several roads became impassable as landslides struck different parts of the province. Access to the popular Ayder Plateau in the Camlihemsin district was cut off, while a bridge on the Ardesen-Camlihemsin highway collapsed in Senyamac village after water levels surged.

Gendarmerie teams were deployed to the affected areas to maintain security.
