The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 65,283, with 166, 575 injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Sunday. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli attacks killed 75 people and injured 304 others in Gaza, the statement said. Among the casualties, five people were killed while seeking food at aid distribution sites, the statement added. Since the U.S.- and Israel-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) began distributing aid supplies on May 27, 2,523 people seeking aid have been killed and 18,473 injured, according to the health authorities. The authorities also reported four more deaths from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. Palestinian media reported late Saturday that Israeli operations across the Gaza Strip killed at least 90 people that day, most of them in Gaza City. The Israel Defense Forces said its air force struck about 100 targets across the enclave in the past 24 hours, while ground operations continued to expand in Gaza City.
