This is the hilarious moment a frantic passenger chased after her runaway suitcase on an airport travelator.

Lyna Ruslan accidentally let go of her luggage, causing it to roll down the moving walkway at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Selangor, Malaysia.

Footage shows the traveller smiling at the camera held by her friend on September 15.

Moments later, the yellow suitcase can be seen speeding along the conveyor with Lyna running behind to catch it.

Other passengers looked on as she sprinted down the pathway while her friend laughed at the comical mishap.

Lyna said: 'My friends and I were heading to Kundasang, Sabah, for our holiday at that time. Luckily, I managed to grab my suitcase back, but I was out of breath.'
