The “Priests Against Genocide” group, recently established in Italy by Catholic priests and now joined by more than 1,200 priests from 34 countries, first gathered at Sant’Andrea al Quirinale Church on Monday, Sept. 22.

There, the priests prayed for an end to the genocide in Gaza and for peace. They then marched to the Italian Chamber of Deputies and afterward to Caravita Church.

Carrying placards reading “For an unarmed and disarmed peace,” “Peace for Gaza,” and “Stop the bombs,” the priests paused at the chamber and other points along their march through central Rome to sing hymns and pray for peace in Gaza.

The group concluded their march with a mass and speeches at Caravita Church.

UN investigators recently concluded that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, where more than 65,300 victims have been killed since October 2023.
