Rockville, United States - September 23, 2025 09/22/2025 08:10 pm GMT-0700 BEL AIR, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department officers from West Los Angeles and firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a radio call Monday evening regarding shots fired on the 2200 block of Weybridge Lane, a location believed to be the home of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. An unidentified caller, possibly named Chris, reported that Ramsay had shot him. Officers attempted to engage with the caller for a significant amount of time, urging him to exit the residence, but he refused to comply. Officers then met with a personal assistant at the home, who informed them that no shooting had occurred and that the caller was not at the residence. After assessing the situation, officers determined there were no signs of a crime, including no evidence of a shooting or an armed individual. As officers were preparing to leave, the caller indicated he was in the kitchen and again refused to come out. When officers stated they were departing, the caller threatened to take his own life. This led investigators to suspect the incident might be a swatting case. It remains unclear whether Ramsay was present at the location during the incident. LAFD was cleared from the scene, and no injuries have been reported. The location was the target of a swatting call in the spring of 2024.
