Ranting passenger taped to her seat for 'attacking crew' on flight to Las Vegas
A ranting passenger was duct-taped to her seat for allegedly attacking the crew on a flight to Las Vegas.
Ketty Dilone sparked alarm in the cabin when she began shouting and pacing up and down the aisle.
Flight attendants told her to take her seat, but the mother-of-two allegedly burst into a tirade as she tried to intimidate the visibly exasperated crew on September 16.
When staff said they would have to restrain her, she said: 'Try to, b****. Try to put me on some f****** psych medicine, b****. I deserve a drink, 'cause I'm a nice person. I'm a Dominican queen! I'm a queen!'
Due to her 'disruptive and threatening' behaviour, Ketty was pinned to her seat with duct tape and her hands restrained in plastic cuffs. Crew later also taped her legs after she allegedly kicked a flight attendant, causing her to fall.
Other passengers volunteered to monitor and sit next to Ketty before the plane arrived at Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport.
Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department boarded the Airbus A320 and placed a spit hood on her.
She was marched off the plane and detained for the alleged disruption onboard American Airlines flight 2470 from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, to Las Vegas, Nevada.
In a press release, the US Attorney's Office District of Nevada said: 'Dilone is charged with one count of interference with a flight crew and one count of assault by striking, beating, or wounding.
'United States Magistrate Judge Elayna J. Youchah scheduled a preliminary hearing for October 1, 2025.'
If found guilty, she could face up to 20 years in prison, the office added.
