To join this contest, I stayed up all night making these pieces. I’m confident because I’ll win consumers’ hearts with sincerity." [Sound_bite] Song Yunping, Tea merchant from Weihai City: "We’re offering unprecedented discounts—70% off. In over 20 years of business, this is the first time. I believe today we can achieve a good result in the competition." [Voice_over] Highlights of the event also included food-making demonstrations, displays of intangible cultural heritage, and folk performances. Shandong is China’s top agricultural producer. Golden fields now stretch across the province as farmers celebrate bumper harvests. According to the provincial department of agriculture and rural affairs, Shandong has achieved a grain output of over 55 million metric tonnes for three consecutive years, marked by larger fields, higher yields and record production.
