Shopper drops his new iPhone 17 for durability test
This is the moment a shopper deliberately dropped his new iPhone 17 to test whether it was as durable as Apple claimed.
Footage shows the man holding the newly released white device above his head as a crowd gathered around to film him in Hebei, China, on September 19.
Moments later, he let go, sending the phone plunging onto the concrete floor without a case.
He then picked it up and showed cracks on the lower part of the screen to the men nearby.
The reveal left onlookers gasping at what they had just seen.
Apple described the iPhone 17 as having ‘a beautiful, more durable design featuring Ceramic Shield 2 for the front cover,' which the company claimed offered three times better scratch resistance than the previous generation.
