Joe Lycett's International Day of Birmingham: A Brummie Extravaganza featuring Mr Egg and Perry the Bull!
The 2nd International Day of Birmingham took place on Wednesday 24 September in and around Birmingham City Centre.
A Flash Mob of ladies dressed in Peaky Blinder outfits took over Colmore Square shouting 'Alight Bab' (a welcome in the Brum accent) Black Sabbath 20 pound notes were also thrown into the crowd.
Perry the Bull from the 2022 Commonwealth Games arrived.
Then a beautiful Brummie procession along Birmingham's Colmore Row through to Victoria Square outside Birmingham Council House where a flag raising took place.
Local legends who took part included: Comedian, Joe Lycett, Prof Carl Chinn MBE, Trevor Beattie, Marc Silk, Janice Connolly, Mr Egg, Tat Vision and Bam Bam.
Joe Lycett, who organised the first and this IDOB said: ‘I am looking forward to once more celebrating this incredibly precious day in the global calendar by shouting ‘alright bab’ with the Lord Mayor before sinking 6-8 pints and inhaling a King Kebab at 3am.’
People were also handed out free Cadbury's Curly Wurly's as Lycett gave a speech from the Council House balcony.
