Historic Waverley paddle steamer starts Thames Estuary season off Kent, UK
A historic paddle steamer started its Thames Estuary season off Kent, UK today (September 24).
Waverley is the world's last seagoing paddle steamer and was originally built back in 1946.
Footage filmed from Sheerness shows the vintage vessel coming alongside Southend on Sea pier in Essex, the world's longest pleasure pier.
Waverley is seen being followed by her support tug Coastrunner, which is on hand in case of trouble.
