Czech sea - the largest water area in Czech Republic
The Lipno Dam is a dam and hydroelectric plant constructed along the Vltava River in the Czech Republic.
With an area of 48.7 square kilometers is the largest dam ever and the largest water area in the Czech Republic thanks to which is also sometimes referred to as Czech sea.
There are sandy and pebble beaches, bycicle and in line path around the dam or yacht harbors.
It´s very popular touristic destination not only in summer but also in winter. You can do ice skating or cross-country skiing on the frozen surface of Lipno and there are also ski slopes.
