An explosion sparked panic near the Israeli Embassy in Oslo.

Footage captured by Aqua Gustavo shows a group of men in the street as the blast erupted near the intersection of Bygdoy Alle and Drammensveien on the evening of September 24.

A bright flash lit up the ground, followed by a loud bang echoing through the streets, as smoke and debris from the grenade attack spread around 250 metres from the Israeli Embassy.

No one was reportedly injured in the explosion.

Police confirmed the incident was linked to a grenade attack and later located and safely detonated a second device nearby.

Authorities said that the explosion was not connected to terrorism but was a criminal act carried out by underage suspects, including a 13-year-old. The culprits were apprehended and taken into custody.
