This snowfall is part of a significant weather event affecting the western Alps. Some areas received over one meter of snow due to a complex storm system combining Atlantic and Mediterranean disturbances.
Officials noted, “As expected, snow has returned to the Western Alps starting from 1,800–2,000 meters. The video was filmed in Cervinia a few hours ago.”
