Photos and a video show the moment ex-Little Mix star Jesy Nelson got engaged on a beach.

The 34-year-old singer songwriter was proposed to by her musician partner, Zion Foster, 26, on Lusty Glaze Beach, Newquay, Cornwall yesterday (25/09).

Jesy announced the engagement with a picture of her and Zion alongside the ring on Instagram.

But eyewitnesses said they witnessed the moment too - and said the proposal was caught on multiple cameras, including from a drone in the air.

They say there was a picnic blanket ready on the beach ahead of the couple's arrival.

One beachgoer said: "They were on one side of the beach, it's not massive, and we were the other side - it was still open to the public."

"We were sat on the beach sofas outside the front of Lusty Glaze restaurant, and they were on the right-hand side of beach in front of the beach huts. "

"They were there from 6pm for about an hour and a half."

"It looked like they were filming it - there was quite a few cameras and a drone."

"It looked like there was the film crew, but I don't think any family or friends - lots of people cheered when the engagement happened."

"We actually walked past Jesy and Zion in the car park beforehand."

"They were walking behind us - there were a picnic blanket and a fire pit already set up for them."

"He had some flowers to give her after as well."

The couple became parents in May when they announced the birth of twins Ocean Jade and Story Monroe.
