While the impact of Typhoon Ragasa on China has subsided so far on Friday, authorities warned later in the day that rainfall will intensify again along the southern coast starting Saturday as Typhoon Bualoi, the 20th typhoon of the year, draws closer. The National Meteorological Center (NMC) on Friday continued to issue a blue alert for typhoon, saying Bualoi will affect southern waters and parts of southern China. Starting from Sept. 28, heavy to torrential rains are expected to hit the western and southern parts of south China and the southeastern part of southwest China's Yunnan Province under the influence of Bualoi, with certain areas likely to see major rainstorms. Meteorological authorities said the upcoming typhoon will enter the eastern waters of the South China Sea early on Saturday, further strengthening as it approaches the southern waters off the southernmost province of Hainan.
