Amazing footage of a World War II veteran singing brilliantly on his 101st birthday.

The video, filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, USA on July 9, shows Chester Green singing at his birthday party.

'Uncle Chester' has had an interesting life too, as the filmer explained online: "Chester is a WWII Veteran who fought in the battle of Leyte Gulf, the largest naval battle in history.

"During his time in the Navy Chester was credited with the first confirmed kill by shooting down a Japanese Zero from his fifty calibre anti-aircraft gun."

"After his time in the Navy Chester went on to work with Kraft," he continued.

"Eventually Chester worked his way up the corporate ladder and made it all the way to VP of worldwide sales, and during his time with Kraft he was stationed in Nashville, and while there he noticed the affinity the south had for country music.

"Upon his promotion to corporate in Chicago, Chester requested that those who were higher up in the company look into creating some kind of music festival in Nashville in order to capitalize on country music's popularity, and thus CMA fest was created at the behest of Chester R. Green."
