Phoenix, United States - September 27, 2025 09/26/2025 09:41 pm GMT-0700 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Firefighters from the cities of Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, and Phoenix were called to the intersection of 77th Street and Murray Lane on Friday night to reports of people stuck in vehicles in fast-moving floodwater. Firefighters arrived and located a pickup truck and a passenger car that had become stuck in knee-deep floodwater following heavy rainfall throughout the afternoon. The occupants of the passenger car were able to exit before the fire department's arrival. The single female occupant of the pickup truck was unable to exit due to the rapidly moving water. Firefighters donned safety equipment before approaching the vehicle. The woman was given a lifejacket and helmet before being led through the water back to solid ground by firefighters.
