WIDE SHOT OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDING BEING HIT, MASSIVE SMOKE RISING, PEOPLE RUNNING IN PANIC GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - SEPTEMBER 27: At least nine people were killed Saturday, Sept. 27, in an Israeli airstrike on a family home in the Al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, as Israeli forces intensified attacks across the coastal enclave, according to medical sources.

The strike was part of a wider bombardment targeting the Al-Shati neighborhood.

Before carrying out the attack, the Israeli army issued a warning to Palestinians near the Abu Hasira roundabout in the area, urging them to "evacuate immediately." The subsequent bombing reduced the area to rubble.

The ongoing assaults since dawn Saturday have resulted in the deaths of at least 91 Palestinians, including a journalist, with scores of others injured, medical sources confirmed.

The Israeli military campaign, which began in October 2023, has now killed nearly 66,000 Palestinians in Gaza, the majority of whom are women and children, according to local medical sources. Months of relentless air and ground assaults have left much of the Gaza Strip largely uninhabitable, pushing its population to the brink of famine.
