The captivating installation carries the uplifting message:

“Maa Durga’s Blessings – Good Luck, Team India!”

The 6-foot-tall sculpture, crafted from approximately 5 tons of sand, features a powerful depiction of Maa Durga blessing the Indian cricket team—a visual tribute to national unity, cultural pride, and sporting spirit. One of the most striking elements of the artwork is the inclusion of 250 intricately designed sand balls, symbolizing strength, teamwork, and the collective hopes of a nation.

Students from Pattnaik’s esteemed Sand Art Institute actively collaborated in the creation, contributing their skills under the mentorship of their internationally acclaimed teacher.

With a career spanning over 65 international sand art championships and festivals, Sudarsan Pattnaik has long used his art as a platform for awareness and advocacy. His previous works have addressed pressing global issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, public health, and world peace.
