A bungling truck driver was seen smashing into traffic lights and bursting a tyre in the process.

Motorist Roslan Abdul Rashid and others watched as the blue lorry, carrying a massive crane, struck the pole positioned on the central reservation in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia.

Footage shows the heavy goods vehicle ramming into the roadside barrier, bending the metal post as its wheels rolled over it on September 25.

Moments later, one of the tyres was punctured by the mangled pole, releasing a spray of compressed air that blasted towards a motorcyclist waiting on the opposite side of the road.

No one was injured in the incident.

Roslan said: 'I don't know what the driver was thinking, but it was just insane. He failed to enter the intersection properly and instead of just reversing, he just went through with it.'
