The 4th Global Digital Trade Expo concluded Monday in Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, setting new records in scale and achievements as it becomes increasingly recognized as a key platform for global digital trade cooperation. The expo, which promotes digital trade and industrial cooperation among partners, kicked off in Hangzhou on Thursday, with the participation of more than 1,800 exhibitors. The total exhibition area covered 155,000 square meters, reflecting the growing significance of the event on the international stage. Spanning five days, the event highlighted the deep integration of digital trade and artificial intelligence, marking several firsts. These included a special exhibition zone for AI agents, showcasing 382 new products, technologies, and innovations across digital entertainment, smart healthcare, many making their debut at the fair. The event also hosted the inaugural "Digital Trade Venture Capital Day", generating intentional purchase agreements totaling 30 billion yuan (around 4.2 billion U.S. dollars). "Many overseas investment institutions attended this year's expo. They showed strong interest in investing in Chinese sci-tech companies, significantly boosting global capital's willingness to engage with China's sci-tech enterprises," said Wang Zhimin, a representative from a participating financial institution. A total of 102 institutional achievements were also released, including the China Digital Trade Development Report and the "Silk Road E-commerce" Cooperation Report, further shaping an important platform for global digital trade exchange and cooperation. "These reports place strong emphasis on how digital trade can drive the transformation and growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as how it can help bridge the digital divide across countries, between urban and rural areas, and among people of different ages and genders, creating new opportunities for the development of China's digital and service trade sectors," said Hu Zhenfang, deputy director of the expo's Organizing Committee Office.
