A senior Hamas official in Iran on Monday said that Palestinians must have full control over their future and called on the international community to fulfill its promise of ensuring a sovereign Palestinian state comes in to being. In an interview with the China Global Television Network (CGTN) in Tehran, Khaled Qaddoumi, a representative of Gaza's ruling Hamas movement, was speaking after a growing number of UN member states recognized the State of Palestine in support of the two-state solution at the ongoing 80th session of the UN General Assembly. He highlighted the importance of allowing Palestinians to determine their future and questioned whether the global community will support their quest for self-governance.
