The bodies of the deceased were transferred to Al-Nasser Hospital, where bereaved relatives held a funeral prayer for their loved ones. Samira Abu Daqqa, a Palestinian woman who lost her daughter in the strike, said it was a lie when they claimed the area was safe. She also emphasized the lack of humanitarian and medical aid in the region. A Palestinian man who lost his son in the strike said they had traveled to Khan Younis because it was declared a safe area. He said they woke up to the sound of an explosion at 3 a.m. Footage showed an injured Palestinian being brought to the hospital and damage around the entrance area. The Israeli army has killed over 66,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to starvation and the spread of diseases. Reporting by Abed Rahim Khatib / Writing by Ayse Elif Erdis
