AMBULANCE LEAVING HOSPITAL GAZA, PALESTINE - OCTOBER 1, 2025: As Israel's blockade and genocide in the Gaza Strip continue unabated, Israeli forces once again opened fire on aid-seeking Palestinians in the southern city of Khan Younis, killing and wounding several civilians. Footage from the scene shows the dead and injured being rushed to Nasser Hospital, some transported by horse-drawn carts and others by ambulances. Among the wounded is a man with a bullet wound to his back, seen entering the hospital for treatment as medics struggle to care for the growing number of casualties. On May 27, Israel launched a separate aid distribution scheme through the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), bypassing the UN and international humanitarian agencies. Since then, nearly 2,600 people have been killed and 19,000 others injured by Israeli fire while collecting aid at distribution points. Aid groups and international organizations have denounced the Israeli-approved aid system a death trap, with hundreds of starving Palestinians killed by Israel while seeking aid. Israel has killed over 66,100 Palestinians, most of them women and children, in its ongoing genocide in Gaza since October 2023. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave uninhabitable and led to a famine.
