A stranded puppy was rescued from the roof of a home by his owner.

Jocel Anne Monic Maniego and her siblings were playing games in their living room when their aunt alerted them that their dog, Kofu, was lounging on the roof in Nueva Ecija, the Philippines.

The worried siblings immediately rushed outside to retrieve the Shih Tzu on September 28.

Footage shows the teenager standing on a red monoblock stool, tapping the metal sheet to call Kofu. She then grabbed his paw and guided him towards her before gently carrying him to safety.

In another clip, their Poodle, named Coco, had wandered into their neighbour's yard after being chased by a cat.

Her sister can be seen calling the canine out of the bushes before bringing him home.

Jocel said: 'Kofu apparently ended up on the roof because he chased a cat. Our house has a second floor, but it's not fully finished yet, so there's only a small wall upstairs. He probably jumped over it, which led him onto the roof.'
