This is the dramatic moment a plane's nose gear failed to deploy during an emergency landing at a Dominican airport.

The Embraer 190 aircraft was forced to land at Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo after experiencing a technical issue with its landing gear.

Authorities said the plane was on a test flight when the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 30.

An incident report from the Aviation Safety Network stated: 'A SKYhigh Dominicana Embraer ERJ-190AR landed at Santo Domingo-Las Americas Airport (SDQ) with the nose gear retracted.

'The aircraft departed SDQ at 15:38 on a test flight. The flight crew experienced problems with the nose landing gear and after circling the airport area, the aeroplane landed without the nose landing gear extended.'

Officials said all seven on board were technical crew members taking part in the test flight. No injuries were reported.

The airline confirmed that the aircraft was already in the process of being retired from active service and was not operating any commercial passenger routes. The Embraer 190 was reportedly manufactured in 2007.

Aerodom added that operations at the airport were unaffected, with flights redirected to an alternate runway.
