A kitten trapped inside the wall of a Thai massage parlour for two days has been rescued after staff heard its desperate cries.

The shop owner said they first heard loud meowing coming from behind a wooden partition, prompting staff to investigate and rescue the hapless feline in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows an employee cutting through the plywood wall after tracing the sound to its source on September 21.

Moments later, as the small rectangular piece was pushed inward, the black-and-white kitten peeked out and meowed loudly.

The rescuer and onlookers beamed with delight as the tiny cat wriggled free. Staff then gently lifted the kitten out and gave it some milk.

The shop owner said: ‘I initially thought it was a neighbour's cat and didn't pay much attention, but after a couple of days we decided to check where the noise was coming from. We're glad the cat was alright, and we've kept it here in the massage shop.'
