The video, recorded in the Ocean Shores area, shows the bear turning into a four-legged porch pirate. Fortunately, the package contained a sweater rather than food. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife used the footage as a reminder not to leave items unattended on porches. They warned that bears can be drawn to high-calorie food, and repeated access could encourage them to return. “Friendly reminder that if you order DoorDash, Uber Eats or other food delivery services, please be sure to pick it up right away. Porch pirates come in all forms, including furry and four-legged,” the department noted on social media. Officials emphasized removing potential attractants so bears focus on natural food sources instead of human items.
