Bakersfield, United States - October 04, 2025 10/03/2025 10:01 pm GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A woman was arrested late Friday night after a hit-and-run collision that left a pedestrian injured in central Bakersfield, according to preliminary reports. The crash was reported around 10:01 p.m. near 24th Street and M Street. Emergency crews arrived to find one person suffering from moderate injuries after being struck by a vehicle. Hall Ambulance transported the victim from the scene to a local hospital for further treatment. The driver fled the area following the collision, continuing east to 24th Street and L Street. Officers located the vehicle a short distance away with visible front-end damage. A field sobriety test was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit-and-run. The Bakersfield Police Department, Bakersfield Fire Department, and Hall Ambulance responded to the incident.
