Supermarket staff were fired for allegedly attacking a customer at a food court in Thailand.

The brawl erupted at the Big C Supercenter in the Ladprao district of Bangkok when the shopper reportedly urinated into a glass before hurling it onto the floor in front of stunned cleaners.

When the female staff warned her about her behaviour, the woman was said to have lashed out, sparking the altercation.

Footage shows two women dragging the customer to the ground by her hair. Two male staff later joined in, brutally striking her with a stick on the head and kicking her repeatedly as shocked onlookers screamed.

The woman was later seen lying motionless on the floor.

In a statement following the brawl, Big C said: 'Regarding the inappropriate incident between an employee and a customer, the company sincerely apologises and expresses its deepest regret for the violent incident, which caused discomfort and affected customer trust.

'As soon as the matter was known, the company immediately investigated the facts and ordered the immediate termination of the employees involved.

'The company is ready to provide care, medical treatment, and accept full responsibility. We will also review our operating measures and intensify employee training nationwide to strictly prevent similar incidents from occurring again in the future.

'Finally, the company once again sincerely apologises for the incident and reiterates that it does not support any form of violence. It has a clear policy that employees must always treat customers with courtesy, safety, and professionalism. The company recognises that customer trust is of utmost importance and will continue to operate with sincerity, transparency, and the commitment to building customer confidence.'
