The 5 o'clock Pet Blessing Service at the Holy Trinity Church Sloane Square started with prayer for the animals by Father Michael. Hundreds of dogs, small and large, took part in the service, bringing together dog owners from Chelsea and the rest of London. Annually, on or around October 4, Christians worldwide celebrate the Feast of Saint Francis with a blessing of animals and prayers for creation.
