A little girl was injured during a go-kart ride when her father lost control while trying to fix her helmet.

Footage shows the child's protective headgear slipping off as she rode with her parent around a track in Lam Dong, Vietnam.

Her dad tried to multitask and adjust it while driving, but accidentally crashed into a barrier at the popular tourist attraction, Mongo Land.

The kid's mouth hit the steering wheel, leaving her with blood pouring from a wound on her lip. Her panicked father carried her to the park staff for assistance.

Her mother, Heliyana, said: 'We are from Malaysia and were just visiting Vietnam to have fun with our kids.

'Something unexpected happened during our vacation, but the staff quickly provided first aid and treated us kindly even though we were tourists.'

The youngster was wounded but was quickly given first aid treatment on September 9.
