A video filmed by X user 3nkaboot shows Irish comedian and pro-Palestine activist Tadhg Hickey being greeted by supporters in Dublin Airport’s arrivals hall.

Hickey, bald and bearded, wore a gray shirt and an orange scarf as crowds waved Irish and Palestinian flags. Supporters chanted, embraced him, and took selfies while wearing “We Can’t Have Peace” t-shirts beneath the bright airport lights.

The Cork-born comedian, writer, and filmmaker, known for his political satire and human rights work, returned after four days in Israeli detention. He was part of the Global Sumud Flotilla Gaza aid mission, during which detainees endured drinking toilet water and being denied insulin.

Hickey arrived with four other Irish activists and pledged to try the delivery mission again.
