This shocking footage shows a woman brazenly carrying her bike over the barriers of a level crossing -

while it was closed for passing trains.

Martin Greenwood, 54, was waiting at the level crossing in Netherfield, Nottingham, on Monday evening (October 6) when he saw the woman carry her bike across the tracks.

His video shows the woman walking across the level crossing despite the barriers being down.

She can be seen struggling to lift her bike over the second barrier before finally managing to get it over and leave the area.

Martin, from Nottingham, said: "The barrier was down before she got to them and she cycled up, dismounted and lifted her bike over then climbed the first barrier."

"That's when I started filming because I couldn't believe it."

"There was a train at the platform on her left so I assume she thought it didn't matter if she didn't wait."

"It left the platform about 30 seconds after she rode off at which point the barriers lifted."

"The people on the other side of the crossing on bikes looked like they couldn't believe what they were seeing."
