Dead fish suddenly starts thrashing out of pot
This is the moment a dead fish suddenly began thrashing in a cooking pot.
The incident happened in Jiangsu, China, on January 27, 2025.
An unnamed man was cooking the fish, which had already been boiled, when it suddenly sprang to life.
A video shows the fish floundering in and out of the pot, even knocking it off the stove.
The man quickly grabbed the lid to cover the pot and prevent any further chaos.
After death, a fish's muscles and nerves can still respond to stimuli for a short period.
This can make the muscles contract involuntarily, causing the fish to twitch, jerk or flounder.
