VARIOUS OF PRO-PALESTINE PROTEST OUTSIDE TRAIN STATION / POLICE AROUNDAMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS - OCT. 8: Pro-Palestinian protesters staged a sit-in in central Amsterdam on Wednesday, Oct. 8, calling for an end to Israeli military actions in Gaza and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. The activists blocked train tracks at Amsterdam Central Station causing major disruptions to national rail traffic. Police swiftly intervened, removing demonstrators from the tracks and detaining several participants. Tuesday, Oct. 7, marked two years since Israel launched an attack on Gaza. Since October 2023, the Israeli military has killed over 67,100 Palestinians in Gaza, mostly women and children. The relentless bombardment has rendered the enclave virtually uninhabitable, resulting in mass displacement, starvation, and the spread of disease. Negotiations to end the war, according to a 20-point plan unveiled by US President Donald Trump, are underway in Egypt.
