This is the dramatic moment mechanics rescued a pet bush baby that was trapped inside a car dashboard.

A customer arrived at the shop in Chonburi, Thailand, seeking help after discovering a small primate trapped inside their vehicle.

Workers quickly located the animal but said it appeared easily frightened, as the more they tried to catch it, the deeper it hid inside the car.

Eventually, the team had to dismantle almost the entire dashboard to reach the bush baby.

Footage shows one of the mechanics working inside the vehicle with a flashlight as he carefully tries to lure the animal from hiding.

After around 30 minutes, they managed to rescue it safely. The creature was found hiding deep behind the car's air vent on September 7.

A bush baby is a tiny, wide-eyed primate known for being gentle and clawless, and is sometimes kept as an exotic pet.
