US, Los Angeles: Historic South Central Pursuit Termination
Los Angeles, United States - October 09, 2025 10/09/2025 12:11 am GMT-0700 HISTORIC SOUTH CENTRAL LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles police officers from the Southwest Division initiated a pursuit of a suspected DUI driver shortly after midnight Thursday morning. The chase lasted approximately five minutes and culminated at the intersection of 36th Street and Broadway. The male driver exited the vehicle, a white KIA sedan, and jumped into the parking lot of a nearby school. Meanwhile, the car, which was left in drive, continued rolling down 36th Street and crashed into an electrical box. Officers quickly surrounded the suspect, jumped a fence, and successfully took him into custody. It remains unclear if the vehicle was stolen. No injuries were reported in the incident.
