A clingy pet cat refused to be left behind and kept trying to squeeze itself into its owner's luggage as she packed for a work trip.

Footage shows the moggy named Boss climbing into an open suitcase and curling up among toiletries and clothes in Quezon, the Philippines.

Pet owner Camille Jade Carlos was preparing to board a ship for work when she noticed Boss refusing to stay away.

Each time she gently lifted the cat out, the stubborn feline would climb right back into the same spot.

Camille said: ‘While I was packing clothes, food, and essentials to bring on the ship, my cat kept circling around me and trying to sleep inside my suitcase.

‘I kept taking him out again and again, but he kept coming back as if he also wanted to come with me

The affectionate grey tabby stayed close to Camille until she finally finished packing.
