Leopard sparks panic as it charges into cafe while chasing cat
This is the terrifying moment a leopard sparked panic when it charged into a cafe while chasing a cat in India.
Footage shows an employee seated near the counter, casually scrolling on his phone, when the cat suddenly appears. Just seconds later, the predator roared through the door while in pursuit of its lunch.
The panicked man quickly jumped up and fled in fear as the leopard relentlessly pursued its prey. The two animals are then seen exiting the eatery before the CCTV clip ends.
No injuries were reported in Tamil Nadu on September 29.
The leopard population in India has grown from 12,852 in 2018 to 13,874 in 2022, according to the Status of Leopards in India 2022 report, released by the Union Environment Ministry on February 29.
The development of homes in and around forests has led to an increase in conflicts with humans.
