Pioneer Tunnel, closed in 1931, and retimbered and opened as a place where visitors could experience a real anthracite coal mine.
This consists of gangways, manways, and chutes.
Visitors ride into the Tunnel on mine cars.
Riders learn about deep-mining methods.
